\n\u25cf Open to photographers of all experience levels, from amateur to professional.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf The theme focuses on the experience of dementia\u2014whether personal or observed. Photographs should capture moments of memory, connection, love, loss, or the everyday life of individuals living with dementia or their caregivers.
\n\u25cf Interpret the theme broadly, but submissions must be relevant to the contest\u2019s message of raising awareness and understanding of dementia.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Number of Entries: Each participant may submit up to 3 images.
\n\u25cf Format: High-resolution digital images, in JPEG or PNG format.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Extended Submission deadline: 17th November 2024<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf All entries must be submitted via email to thedementiacarefoundation@gmail.com
\n\u25cf Include a title and a short description (up to 150 words) for each image explaining how it relates to the theme.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Grand Prize: Cash prize of Rs. 5,000\/-
\n\u25cf Runner-Up: Cash prize of Rs. 3,000\/-
\n\u25cf Elders’ Choice: One image will be selected based on elders\u2019 (at TDCF) votes and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,000\/-<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Photographers retain the copyright of their images. However, by submitting, participants grant The Dementia Care Foundation & Chennai Photo Biennale the right to use submitted images for promotional purposes, exhibition, or publication related to the contest (with full credit to the photographer).<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf No entry fee is required.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Ensure that all individuals captured in the images, especially those with dementia, are treated with respect and dignity.
\n\u25cf If photographing individuals, written consent must be obtained (from caregivers if photographing individuals with Dementia) and submitted with the image, especially if the subject\u2019s identity is recognizable.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Finalists and winners will be notified by email and announced on 22nd November, 2024. The results will also be posted on The Dementia Care Foundation & Chennai Photo Biennale\u2019s social media channels.
\n\u25cf Prizes will be distributed to winners at an event organised by The Dementia Care Foundation & Chennai Photo Biennale on a later date.<\/p>\n
